Since April 2024, the team has actively participated in regular virtual and in-person sessions, gaining valuable knowledge on product–market outreach strategies through meaningful interactions with industry leaders, innovators, and seasoned mentors. These sessions have significantly deepened our understanding of market dynamics and enhanced our ability to refine, position, and scale our solutions effectively. Visiting the University of British Columbia (UBC) and engaging with its vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem has been particularly impactful. PixelPaddle Team Meets Minister IRCC and Minister CS Canada at BBOT Event

Team PixelPaddle had the privilege to catch up with Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada, and the Honourable Terry Beech, Minister of Citizens’ Services of Canada on an exciting afternoon session hosted by Burnaby Board of Trade in May 2024. The Ministers shared insights on the 2024-2025 Immigration Levels Plan, addressing newcomer inclusion, changes in international student permit application caps, and challenges for post-secondary institutions. This engaging discussion underscored the government’s dedication to using immigration as a catalyst for economic growth and community development while ensuring comprehensive support for newcomers to thrive in Canada. During the networking session, Mr. Meer Anwar, CEO of PixelPaddle, introduced Mr. Beech to PixelPaddle—a unique SaaS Sports Metaverse solution that is gaining traction in both local and international markets as part of its startup journey in Canada.
